I've BEEN PAID!!

I've been trying this high yield investment program for a few months now, all I need to do was just surf (done automatically) about 100 pages a day to get the 1% of how much money I put in. So I was getting a whopping 30% a month. As many of you might not believe how trustworthy it was (especially when a lot of friends that I told says it's a fraud and too good to be true), I didn't exactly tell a lot of other people nor mention it in my blog. Well, finally I got the Cheque from my earnings and can show to the world that I really got paid!! See my cheque below? Woohoo!!!

Christmas in Malacca

Decided to head down to Malacca this Christmas eve since I've been celebrating it every year in KL and there's nothing special about it. Got a friend who sms me and asked "satay celup & Xmas? Never heard of it..." Well now you have! haha. Reached there around 11PM and headed straight for the satay celup place in Jln Ong Kim Wee which was loaded with ppl. Just as we step down from the car, Adam can't stop complaining that why don't we go to this better place for satay celup, BUT he don't know how to go either... So after much complaint about the place (doesn't taste that bad), we headed to the new place (after some touring around the city....haha) with help from Adam's friend (Thomas) who just came back from KL. It was about 1am when we arrived at the place (you are correct! we counted down to Christmas in the car! at a traffic light with the DJ "dou sa" on 988), can't blame Adam too much for complaining earlier, as the satay celup this new place does taste better (especially the seafood variety!). I think the place is called Capital or something. Saw a 4x4 with cocroach stickers with a chinese word "ka cha!" (see top pic)which was real funny!

After the second round of satay celup, Thomas brought us to this place called the Friend's cafe, for some drinks and card game. Wasn't feeling that good (might be the caffeine in my cup of cappucino!) so asked Adam to drive back to KL. Reached home at about 6AM, but had to wake up at about 12PM for a Karaoke session at timesquare!... Got dumped and went home for dinner then to bed straight at about 8PM. Woke up only this morning about 6AM to crawl to work....

Raub Fishing

Haruan, originally uploaded by Chunsite.

Went down to Raub last Wednesday to fix my uncle's PC and new Mac. Brought Kok Boon along since he was going to go back to Perth. Initially wanted to go down on Tuesday night, but was too late, so bunked at Kai Weng's place since the door in my house in locked from the inside and I can't get in.

Left the next morning at about 8.30AM after breakfast (slept at 4AM! crawling to work the next day) Reached My uncle's place after about a 1.5 hrs drive. Which is pretty fast ever since they built the new road. After some setting up and meddling with my uncle's PC, went for some fishing since stupid ScreAmYX can't figure out what's wrong with the connection.

This was the 1st fish we caught (since it was my rod and Kok Boon landed it) The biggest Haruan we caught that day, Kok Boon caught another 2 smaller ones later.

Took the 3 fishes to a restaurant and have it "kong Pou" style. Really nice! fresh and no muddy smell...

Phuket (part 3) ... I know it's a month ago...

Day 3

Damn, It’s been 2 weeks, and I still have not finish this. Well let’s see if I could remember what happen. Oh, if I’m not mistaken we had a chat with the owner of the hostel the night before only to find out (after looking around for the for so long) that he actually offer the best trips around. (with very reasonable price as well) After some surveying, we decided to go for the Canoeing trip, which cost 1300 Baht per person. The owner was a very nice person to talk to (not to mention that he was the very few Thais that can speak good English) he was telling us about the time when the Tsunami hit (For you guys who forgot, it was boxing day 26 Dec 04), the damage was really bad until most of the beachside restaurants and clubs were mostly gone. He also mentioned that he lost some friends and how some survived by climbing up a tree, so lesson one, see Tsunami, don’t run away- you’ll never be able to outrun it, go high. It really was a tragic day, I was quite surprised when he told me that the waves not only hit once, but about 4-5 times. He was saying that some kids actually went to beach to collect the fishes that were washed ashore, only to be taken by the next wave that hit. One of his friends who had a few hotels in South Thailand actually lost it all when the Tsunami hit, sad…

But when we were walking along the beach, most of the shops and restaurants were mostly rebuilt back. There was Macdonald’s, Starbucks, supermarket and countless restaurants. To be able to rebuilt so many things back in less than a year is pretty impressive (since the photos we saw on the damage done is pretty drastic), but I guess they do not have any choice (as what is said by the owner), I’m quite sure if you are reading until now, you’ll figure that the whole islands economy strive on tourism. You can just imagine how much money they’ll loose if they stop business for even one day.

Anyways, it’s day 3 and we went for this canoe trip recommended by the hostel owner. Had breakfast and one of the cafes just beside where we stayed since the pickup is from our place. When we entered the Toyota Corona (taxi) which will bring us to the port, we met a Japanese couple. I said hello and that’s about it. The 1st thing we noticed is the Jap Chick for sure. Hahaha… that chick has the nicest tan I’ve ever saw in any Asian girls… Especially when she was in her yellow bikini. Oooh… Ok now, snap out of it already.

So we went down to the jetty and went into one of this “long tail boat” (which is use for shallow waters and the propeller part and be raised up and down depending on the water depth) which is like a sampan fitted with a car engine, I’m not joking, Kai Weng was telling me where the fuel pump and all the engine parts were). You can actually see it has a rope connected to the accelerator cable (That thing that is pulled when you step on the gas you’d see if you open the bonnet) and the “driver” was just pulling the rope to rev the engine and the small boat fitted with about 20+ people (yes! That much!) was skimming across the shallow waters towards the big boat. We went on top the huge boat(about 20m long and  2 decks) and went upstairs where they were about 30-40 seats available. After waiting for the second batch of people to arrive on the boat, we took off. About 5 minutes later, there was this person who introduced himself as “Woody” briefed us on where we were going and the schedule for the day. Saw a family (German I think) who brought a long their 8months old baby, which has blue eyes and really cute. Didn’t think anyone would bring their babies on such a trip. I even saw them carrying the 8 month old onto the canoe on one of the trips (I don’t think my brother (or anyone I know) would dare to bring his 18months daughter (my cute little niece!) to this kinda trip).

Phuket Siam Canoe was the name of the tour, the first stop we were of to was one of this islands (which I forgot the name), all of us was being ferried of to the beach using the individual canoes that can fit 2 at a time. Some just jump straight into the water and swam to the beach. Quite a nice place but the water was not that clear if compared to the few islands that we went the day before. So we decided to take the canoe and paddle ourselves around the beach. As the stop there was only for about 45 minutes, we had to leave after some swimming and lepaking by the beach. It was in this island that I took a picture with a cool looking (but timid) eagle. It’s not often that we can see eagles around as there are quite rare in our country, crows we have a lot…haha.

After that, we made a 20-minute stop at the famous James Bond Island (called that because one of the 007 movies was shot there). No place to swim or canoe here, so it was just some sightseeing and walking around. After that, we went back to our boat for lunch. The food was pretty good, considering that it was cooked on the ship itself and they made sure that it was more than enough for everyone, lots of fruits as well (although it’s the standard watermelon and pineapple which is the standard fruits given everywhere we go). Drinks and snacks were free-flow along the trip as well.

After lunch, we headed to the next stop for some canoeing (although we don’t paddle ourselves). We were taken into quite a number of caves, lagoons which was really beautiful and quite since it was quite secluded. We had to go through quite a few tunnel like caves where we had to lie down to get through (Don’t ask me how the people with huge bellies gonna get through cos I didn’t see any k!) On the way to one of the locations, one of the staff took some chicken meat (I think) and whistled to attract some eagles along the island. Then there were like 15-20 eagles soaring along the boat trying to get the food thrown into the water, Cool! I haven’t seen so many eagles at a time before, even on TV! At the last stop, we had to bring a torchlight as it was pitch dark when we entered one of the caves. There was this foul smell (I think it’s Guano!) once we entered the cave, we really can’t see anything, luckily the staff knew where we were going (I think they can practically paddle and find the way with their eyes close since they do it quite often)

After the last stop, it started to rain quite heavily, we were quite lucky since it was after the last trip and it was quite a huge boat making the ride quite smooth (it would have been suicide if it rained on the day before when we were on the speedboat!). On the way back, the staff ( I think there was about 15 of them) on board, even throw a show for us. There were some singing & dancing, which was quite fun & funny, making the 45minute trip back to the port less boring and quicker.

All in all, the trip was really fun and the service by the on board staff was really superb along the way, a lot of attention were given constantly and we even saw one of them applied bandage for one of the people who got injured on his ankle while swimming. They were always willing to serve drinks, mop the floor when someone spilled a drink, collecting rubbish & finished drinks from us. Heck, I think some of the hotels don’t even have that good service. So conclusion - well worth the 1300baht that we paid for. So if you ever plan to go there, you can try to opt for them (Phuket Siam Canoe )

After going back and taking a bath, we decided to look for some place cheaper (and more local) to have dinner. Went into one of these small coffeeshop-like place and ordered some fried rice and a bowl of Seafood Tom Yam. The fried rice was really good, the Tom Yam was not as hot as we thought though - maybe we were served with those they cooked for tourist. After that, I think we went to this place where there was Muay Tai (Thai Boxing) going on, didn’t have to pay anything, just buy a cup of drink. The precious ones that we went to check costs 700baht! The fight was really fake, it was like the opponents will shout “I’m hitting you now” every time they throw a punch or kick. After a match, the boxers will actually come to each table to shake everyone’s hands and we need to give them some tips. The other tables usually gave 100baht each, we were almost broke by then and just gave 20baht. Left before the second match(which was even more fake) was finished.

When we were back, the owner approached us asking of we mind having a Scottish lady that couldn’t find any place to sleep to stay next to our room (kinda connected as there was like an opening between the rooms where the air-cond can reach the other room), and we were given a 100baht discount as well. Was quite surprised since the owner didn't really need to approach us as it was actually a room by itself. So it was only RM20 a night! Woohoo! I don’t that that you can find any rooms (even without air-cond) with that price in Phuket or even KL. With nothing much to do I think we went back and slept at about 10:30PM! which is even earlier than the usual days when I’m working! Felt quite tired that day I guess.

Got myself a Mac!

mymacmini
mymacmini,
originally uploaded by Chunsite.
Apple Rocks! Check out the size of this mac mini I bought for only RM1150. Well sadly it's not for me, bought it for my uncle who wanted a new PC. Wanted to get him a Cheap Celeron for some basic computer use, but that also costs RM1000++ as well, might as well get a Mac! Check out the size! it's only like the size of the french toast from some Hong Kong style restaurant you'd find a lot in KL nowadays.

Very nice... cool graphics... but 256MB of RAM just isn't enough for such graphic intensive apps that the Mac Thrive on... but still beats any windows with the same specs...

Hectic Weekend

Last weekend was quite packed until i don't remember much wat happenned also. I think Thurs .. Ah! had to go to TARC to take the CD player from my cousin (elder one - just finish her diploma i think) all the way to Kepong where my other cousin (her younger sis) who is working in the Station One after her PMR.

Friday after work straight go find Kittlou in PCfair. Kittlou went shopping in KLCC...

Then, had to work on saturday! half dead... but lucky nothing much to do...  After work, go Low yatt Jalan cos had to get a cheap pc for my uncle(from Raub), after that went to OUG yumcha. Donny came along later. Then I had to fetch Bing back to Rawang...the road very creepy also, so bunked at his place & slept about 3AM, Then Sunday morning woke up at 9AM! cos had to meet a friend in PCfair... after got ready everything, kena FFK. so went back my home to sleep for a few hours. Then went to pc fair to meet Boon & Mei Li. Ah Boon really the thin liao... like drug addict... hahaha.

Didn't want to get anything that day cos too packed liao. Boon wanted to get a laptop so was searcing around. Then we reach the Apple Mac Booth. After much considerations, decided to get my uncle a Mac mini. Which cost only RM1150!  don't believe also, that day went low yat want to "chai" a cheap skate celeron / AMD also around RM1000+ so, a Mac for that price is quite a good deal...somemore damn small... like 4 pieces bread only leh... but paid deposit only, have yet to get it from 1Utama... can't wait... hehehe

Then after that, Ah Bing got 2 lenglui Australians colleagues going to cambodia transit KLIA and he wanted to show them around. Didn't really wanted to go also since very tired and had to work today. but kittlou not familiar with KLIA - nilai area... so had to go along... then Kok Boon came along later. we reached there about 8.30pm but waited for them to check in to hotel and stuff also about 11pm liao... only yesterday heard of Concord Inn... so far... then Ah bing insisted on bringing them to eat satay, so we head down to kajang... roads all change, me & kok boon don't really know how to go around, so just stop at one of the mamak that sells satay, which is not bad (kajang got standard a bit i think).

After makan also about 1am liao then bring them around town, KLCC, Dataran, St. John (hehe) etc... Luckily got 2 car, Kok boon drove them back, me and kittlou went home instead.

By the time I reached home also 3 something... so slept at around 4AM! and had to wake up 6 something just now... like zombie liao...

Phuket (part 2)

Day 2

Had to wake up at about 7AM to get ready for our trip to the Phi Phi islands. A van came to pick us up at about 8AM to the Chalong Bay. Reached there about 9AM (after fetching a few others). After that each of us were given a sticker, to be divided into groups and separate speedboats. We had to rent the flippers which cost 100baht per pair (which I didn’t use much since I’m not used to it and it just makes my feet hurt). After taking our photos (for insurance) we were guided into one of the speedboats with 3 V6 engines! After that we were off to one of the islands. The way there was quite bumpy since we were going quite fast and the boat is kind off small too. I don’t even remember what was the name of the islands that we went to for some snorkeling for only about 30minutes, which is quite short since the journey there took about 45 minutes. Did remember Maya bay, cos they kept mentioning that’s where Leonardo acted in “The Beach”. There was a strange looking cafeteria (cos it was like in the middle of no where!) about 2 minutes walk from the beach where they sell drinks and stuff. After some swimming and checking out some Japanese and Korean chicks around the beach (yes Adam! You missed it! hahaha) we were off to Phi Phi island for Lunch. The food was not something you would want to pay for, but since we have already paid for the whole package and didn’t want to pay more, we had to make do with what was served. After Lunch, we had a walk around the island, which is quite small. There were pictures showing how the Tsunami literally tear the whole place apart, we were still able to see some of the damage done to the place. There was this banner and some pictures which I’ve been giving some thought to, after the Tsunami hit, there were quite a lot of tourist (mostly Caucasians) who actually volunteered to clean up and rebuilt back the island. I was thinking if I might do the same thing if I was there that time. Maybe… if I don’t have a job, and I have the $$ to survive. Only later we found out that the island was hit really bad since it was hit from 2 sides, as the island is has something like 2 lagoons, therefore there was 2 beaches opposite of each other.

After about an hour spending on the Phi Phi island, we were off to Khai island, which was quite small (I think only the size of half a football field), but the place was one of the nicest islands we’ve went to. The beach is really clean, and you can see fishes swimming around near the beach (especially when you brought bread along!). I went out to snorkel a bit further out from the beach. I noticed that without the flippers & the life jacket it is a lot easier for me to move about and didn’t have any problems feeling too tired although I was quite far off from the beach (Always thought that with the life jacket on, I wouldn’t feel that tired, who knows it will be the other way round.) Was looking and some colourful fishes around the reefs, but was a bit disappointed in the dull looking corals, it was about the same as the corals I saw a few years back in Redang. Might have been because of the Tsunami that destroyed a lot of the corals, or it might have been the work of some “Tapak Sulaiman” or something like black urchins (which are known to devour corals) that I saw while snorkeling around the reefs. (had some pictures, but I haven’t developed the film yet since the underwater camera that I brought is kinda old school)

This was the place that we spent the most time as well, I think about 2-3 Hours. The crew was quite helpful, always providing drinks and fruits to every one of us. After some sunbathing and strolling around the beach, it was time to head back.

Had dinner at this place where they had a whole stretch of seafood restaurants. Quite surprise they have the menu in Chinese. Some other shops even have Japanese and Korean writings on their billboards. The food was not too bad, but taste kinda the same as what we have over here, maybe because Thai food are so common around nowadays. That dinner costs about 500 Baht, for a 600g grouper, 2 calamari/squid (big ones!) and a small plate of vege.

Damn, it’s been a week and I’m still half way only…

Phuket (part1)

Phuket! Beautiful Phuket… Went there with Kai Weng (yes! Adam bailed on us!) on 17 Nov 05.

DAY 1
I arrived at the Phuket International Airport by Air Asia (Cost about RM280 for a return ticket) at about 1.30PM, it takes only about 1hr15min, which is faster than the time I need to reach Subang from my place! After that we took the minibus (which is actually a van that can for about 10 ppl) for 150baht (100Baht @ RM10). After the van is full we were of to Patong (the town where we stayed in) halfway there, the van stopped at this tour shop asking us to come down, so that we can tell them where we stayed. So everyone went down, and they started asking where we were going and what plans we had. They were offering trips for about 2500 baht! (which is about twice the price we got later) Which we think is quite expensive, so we turned them down. (What a smart way to pull business, especially if they know that they were basically our 1st point of contact) After a few minutes, we got on back to the van and they sent us to our respective hotels ( I thought they were just gonna drop us off at some bus stop, and let us find our own way, so 150baht isn’t too expensive especially if you compare to the taxi fare which is about 550baht!) After we reached the Crown Hostel (yes! Hostel ) which is like a backpackers inn that I booked online earlier, there was this lady (maybe in her forties) greeted us and showed a printout of my booking online. She then lead us to our room, which has a King size bed & an attached bathroom, but no Air-cond.(might be my fault since I forgot to check when I made the booking) but since it was only 400baht per night (for 2) I wasn’t expecting much. So we unpacked and head down to the beach straight. While walking to the beach, we saw that there was more tourists there compared to the locals… it’s like half of Europe in packed in this one small island.

When we reached the beach (which is only less than a 5 minutes walk) we can see that it was really long, I think it’s about 2km, and the whole beach is filled with these beach chairs and umbrellas. We stopped by and paid 100baht to use 2 of the chairs, you can actually see that a lot of those Caucasians / Eurasians actually sun bathing under the hot 5PM sun. A lot of them actually started peeling, and yet they are still lying under the hot Sun… crazy ppl… So we chilled at the beach for a while (with the umbrella open!) Then I called Adam and told him that we are at the beautiful beach in Phuket and let him listen to the sound of the waves crashing to the beach… hahahaha (serves him right! Since he bailed on us) He kept swearing after that …

Went to this shop that looks like a fast food restaurant (but don’t understand why the food takes so long to prepare) Had this plate of beef (I think) with loads of fresh pepper (yes, those that we use as seasoning -See pic IMG_0622). Paid about 130baht for a full course meal. After going back to the hostel for some rest, we took a walk around the area. This place is even more happening that KL. The whole stretch of Bangla Road (don’t know where they got the name from) was basically pubs, bars and clubs. Kai Weng and me was like checking out the chicks but kept asking each other if there were male or female (trust me, some “guys” had body figures every girl dreamt of having). Sometimes we just can’t differentiate between the 2. Went for a beer & some food by the beach, we were basically seating on the sand. Quite a nice place, and the food is cheap too, was quite shocked when the bill came for 180baht - that’s for 2 bottles of beer and a plate of fried “la la” (not the type that we usually eat, but those bigger ones with really thick shell). Good food (& cheap!), sand in your toes, sea breeze…fuuh… what more could someone ask for? (I’m really missing it now!) After a while, we went around asking for trips around the island, got a deal for 1300baht (which is quite reasonable since it’s like half of what someone offered earlier) for a speed boat ride around the Phi Phi island. But we didn’t have enough with us, so had to go back to our rooms to get more cash (luckily it was only about a 10 min walk). Went back after that. Had some problems sleeping that night since it was quite warm and noisy (well that’s something we need to sacrifice since we were situated right smack in the middle of the action). Can’t believe we actually went to bed before 12 almost every night since we didn’t have enough cash to go clubbing all night. We basically spent a lot on food and travel.

To be continued...

Since a picture is worth a thousand words... I'll let you see the photos on my recent trip to Phuket... have yet to finish my Looong writeup.

Paintball @ Sunway Extreme Park

For you guys who did not come for this wonderful event organized by http://www.project-privilege.blogspot.com , here are some updates on what happen...

Arrived at the place at about 1.30PM after some problems finding the place as there were revamping the roads there. Signed up and paid what I have pledged earlier. After a while, we went for some test rounds... Cool! this things were more powerful than I thought. (320kmph! according to the marshall in charge) But 50 rounds of bullets isn't that much.

After some a short briefing session, it was time for the WAR to begin! The mission was to shoot down 2 bottles(at the enemy's location) and collect 3 flags back to base (without getting shot at that is). The terrain is quite intesting as there were like 3 levels, 1st one being the leveled field, 2nd one will be a 45 degree slope going down to the sandy 3rd level. We were divided into 2 groups.

Round 1

Our Group, Team A ( as you can see in the pic) had a short strategy discussion and we were off! I was in charge of going down to the 3rd level to get the flag there (1 flag at each level) after the bottles were shot down. Take no prisoners! The siren was heard and I went straight down the slope and reached one of the bunkers at the 3rd level (whew... it's hard to breathe with this masks on) . Before I knew it the bottles were already shot down (Good Work team!) now it's time for me to grab the flag and run. Armed with only 50 rounds, I had to use it wisely. After a few shots, I was getting more attention than I was asking for! bullets were flying all around me, some hit the sand and splattered on my shirt. I can hear endless bullets hitting the bunker wall that I was hiding behind of. After some waiting, and some return fire, I dashed for the flag and ran back to base. Whoa... that was tiring....haven't done much execise lately....(or might be because of the 4am Karoake session the night before) Had a short rest at the base and met one of the guys who brought the flag from level 1. There was only 1 flag left now! So we went in again for the final flag on the 2nd level with the 45 degree slope. The guy (sorry bro! I'm no good with names) was to grab the flag while I cover him. He's fast man... got the flag and went back to base. The siren was sounded and that is the end of round 1. We've WON!!!

Everyone came out after that to get some drinks and rest. Before going in I had to refill another 50 rounds as I almost went in with blanks....

Round 2
"same strategy this time" somebody said. So I went down to the same 3rd level, aimed at one of the bottles and shot 1 of it down. Someone else got the second bottle after that. This time around I wasn't getting as much attention as before cos most of the activity was on the 1st level, so I dashed for the flag again and ran for cover. Got the flag to base and met the same guy again with the second flag. Just when stepping in the base a stray bullet hit the back of my head! Ouch... Wiped my head and was ready to get someone this time. I was at the 1st level this time, saw Terrence (if I remember correctly his name) dashed for the flag but shot in the arm...Ouch! I slipped down to the 2nd level after that and hid behind and "L" shaped bunker with a opening in the middle, Nice! Peeped through the opening and saw one of the enemies running for their flag... I fired quite a few shots before I could get him (at his waist, Sorry bro, know that must've hurt...) After a while, Liza from out team (nice work!) got the last flag, and... Victory! again... 2-0 Muahahahaha. (All this years of Counter-Strike games paid off I guess)

A bit sad that I had to leave early as I had an appointment with a friend as well as dinner with my family. I heard that there were having a few more rounds after that, fully sponsored some more.... some went for the Go-kart as well. Sigh... well I guess there's always next time...

All in all, the adrenalin rush was something I've been looking for sometime now. Really Fun! and all of this for Charity! which makes it even more meaningful. Kudos to the people behind Project Privilege.

My place is 0.26KM away from the nearest Streamyx Port and therefore no broadband for me, so I was quite pissed for the pass year as I can't get broadband in my place... Finally my future looks a little brighter when my brother informed me that he saw an article in yesterday's The Sun stating that Jaring is offering broadband nationwide.

So I called Jaring straight to ask, and they said that my place may not have it since they need to apply from telekom to offer the service, so i was told to make a "booking" online.

So I went to http://www.jaring.com.my/broadband/index.html?cont=area to check if it was available before i register for it. Hurah!! my number appeared, so I called Jaring 0389917080 (now it's 24/7, Good Work!) again to confirm. They were still saying that I need to put in a registration... so I filled up the form and am keeping my fingers crossed...

You can check out the packages at http://www.jaring.com.my/broadband/index.html?cont=flite_package

RM75 Registration (jaring Dialup users Free... that's me!)
RM79 Per month for 1Mbps (unlimited ) -finally something cheaper than sCreeeAmYx!
Modem FREE! but i guess it'll be the standard ADSL modems anyway...

So wish me luck....

P/S: I wonder if Jaring gonna pay me anything for advertising here... hahaha

USD$100 Laptop

I just love this laptop. Don't mind paying double the price for it... love the hand crank... you can wind the thing for a minute and you get 10minutes of power! Cool! I wonder why the standard laptops do not have that feature...it's a godsend for travellers...Too bad this laptop not in production yet and not for sale. Check it out at http://laptop.media.mit.edu/

Here's a report...
Nicholas Negroponte has been promoting this idea of the $100 PC <http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000313029623/> for the developing world for a while now, and he’s now showing off the proposed prototype with specs and some more details on how to implement the plan. The design calls for a laptop with 500 MHz processor, 1GB memory, four USB ports and a dual-mode display usable in full-color or in black-and-white, sunlight-readable mode. Power will be provided either via conventional electric current, batteries, or via a windup crank attached to the side of the notebook for usage in remote regions without a power grid. The systems will be WiFi-enabled and able to connect via cellular networks, as well as including built-in mesh networking allowing multiple machines to share a single internet connection. Negroponte is working with MIT and five companies (Google, AMD, News Corp., Red Hat and BrightStar) to develop an ambitious 5 to 15 million test systems within the year, to be purchased at $100 a pop by governments in Brazil, China, Thailand, Egypt and South Africa and distributed for free to students. They’re also now considering licensing the design for third parties to commercialize, with revenue cycling back into the One Laptop Per Child project.

Anyone Going to the Pit Party?
Heard got some really good DJ's

99 THINGS GIRLS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT GUYS

Any Comments?

This is a looooooooooooooooooooooog list!!!

1. Guys don't actually look after good-looking girls. They prefer neat and presentable girls.
2. Guys hate flirts.
3. A guy can like you for a minute, and then forget you afterwards.
4. When a guy says he doesn't understand you, it simply means you're not thinking the way he is.
5. "Are you doing something?" or "Have you eaten already?" are the first usual questions a guy asks on the phone just to get out from stammering.
6. Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about.
7. When a guy really likes you, he'll disregard all your bad characteristics.
8. Guys go crazy over a girl's smile.
9. Guys will do anything just to get the girl's attention.
10. Guys hate it when you talk about your ex-boyfriend.
11. When guys want to meet your parents. Let them.
12. Guys want to tell you many things but they can't. And they sure have one habit to gain courage and spirit to tell you many things and it is drinking!
13. Guys cry!!!
14. Don't provoke the guy to heat up. Believe me. He will.
15. Guys can never dream and hope too much.
16. Guys usually try hard to get the girl who has dumped them, and this makes it harder for them to accept their defeat.
17. When you touch a guy's heart, there's no turning back. (So girls touch ur guys heart)
18. Giving a guy a hanging message like "You know what?!..uh...never mind!" would make him jump to a conclusion that is far from what you are thinking.
19. Guys go crazy when girls touch their hands.
20. Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like.
21. When a guy makes a prolonged "umm" or makes any excuses when you're asking him to do you a favor, he's actually saying that he doesn't like you and he can't lay down the card for you.
22. When a girl says "no", a guy hears it as "try again tomorrow."
23. You have to tell a guy what you really want before he gets the message clearly. (So don't give confused signals, and expect guys to understand them)
24. Guys hate gays!
25. Guys love their moms.
26. A guy would sacrifice his money for lunch just to get you a couple of roses.
27. A guy often thinks about the girl who likes him. But this doesn't mean that the guy likes her.
28 You can never understand him unless you listen to him.
29. If a guy tells you he loves you once in a lifetime. He does.
30. Beware. Guys can make gossips scatter through half of the face of the earth faster than girls can.
31. Like Eve, girls are guys' weaknesses.
32. Guys are very open about themselves.
33. It's good to test a guy first before you believe him. But don't let him wait that long. (He will give up on you)
34. No guy is bad when he is courting
35. Guys hate it when their clothes get dirty. Even a small dot.
36. Guys really admire girls that they like even if they're not that much pretty.
37. Your best friend, whom your boyfriend seeks help from about his problems with you may end up being admired by your boyfriend.
38. If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don't need to give advice.
39. A usual act that proves that the guy likes you is when he teases you.
40. A guy finds ways to keep you off from linking with someone else.
41. Guys love girls with brains more than girls in miniskirts.
42. Guys try to find the stuffed toy a girl wants but would unluckily get the wrong one.
43. Guys virtually brag about anything.
44. Guys cannot keep secrets that girls tell them.
45. Guys think too much.
46. Guys' fantasies are unlimited.
47. Girls' height doesn't really matter to a guy but her weight does!
48. Guys tend to get serious with their relationship and become too possessive. So watch out girls!!!
49. When a girl makes the boy suffer during courtship, it would be hard for him to let go of that girl.
50. It's not easy for a guy to let go of his girlfriend after they broke up especially when they've been together for 3 years or more.
51. You have to tell a guy what you really want before getting involved with that guy.
52. A guy has to experience rejection, because if he's too-good-never-been-busted, never been in love and hurt, he won't be matured and grow up.
53. When an unlikable circumstance comes, guys blame themselves a lot more than girls do. They could even hurt themselves physically.
54. Guys have strong passion to change but have weak will power.
55. Guys are tigers in their peer groups but become tamed pussycats with their girlfriends.
56. When a guy pretends to be calm, check if he's sweating. You'll probably see that he is nervous.
57. When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl. He really is.
58. When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he's just actually saying, "Please come and listen to me"
59. Guys don't really have final decisions.
60. When a guy loves you, bring out the best in him.
61. If a guy starts to talk seriously, listen to him.
62. If a guy has been kept shut or silent, say something. (He generally has a lot of frustration in mind then)
63. Guys believe that there's no such thing as love at first sight, but court the girls anyway and then realize at the end that he is wrong.
64. Guys like femininity not feebleness.
65. Guys don't like girls who punch harder than they do.
66. A guy may instantly know if the girl likes him but can never be sure unless the girl tells him. (So girls you should think of making the first move)
67. A guy would waste his time over video games and basketball, the way a girl would do over her romance novels and make-ups.
68. Guys love girls who can cook or bake.
69. Guys like girls who are like their moms. No kidding!
70. A guy has more problems than you can see with your naked eyes.
71. A guy's friend knows everything about him. Use this to your advantage.
72. Don't be a snob. Guys may easily give up on the first sign of rejection. (So don't play with a guy you really like, you will lose him)
73. Don't be biased. Try loving a guy without prejudice and you'll be surprised.
74. Girls who bathe in their eau de perfumes do more repelling than attracting guys.
75. Guys are more talkative than girls are especially when the topic is about girls.
76. Guys don't comprehend the statement "Get lost" too well.
77. Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions but still love them more.
78. When a guy gives a crooked or pretentious grin at your jokes, he finds them offending and he just tried to be polite.
79. Guys don't care about how shiny their shoes are unlike girls.
80. Guys tend to generalize about girls but once they get to know them, they'll realize they're wrong.
81. Any guy can handle his problems all by his own. He's just too stubborn to deal with it.
82. Guys find it so objectionable when a girl swears.
83. Guys' weakest point is at the knee.
84. When a problem arises, a guy usually keeps himself cool but is already thinking of a way out.
85. When a guy is conscious of his looks, it shows he is not good at fixing things.
86. When a guy looks at you, either he's amazed of you or he's criticizing you.
87. When you catch him cheating on you and he asks for a second chance, give it to him. But when you catch him again and he asks for another chance, ignore him.
88. If a guy lets you go, he really loves you.
89. If you have a boyfriend, and your boy best friend always glances at you and it obviously shows that he is jealous whenever you're with your boyfriend, all I can say is your boy best friend loves you more than your boyfriend does.
90. Guys learn from experience not from the romance books that girls read and take as their basis of experience. (They learn it the harder way)
91. You can tell if a guy is really hurt or in pain when he cries in front of you!
92. If a guy suddenly asks you for a date, ask him first why.
93. When a guy says he can't sleep if he doesn't hear your voice even just for one night, hang up. He also tells that to another girl. He only flatters you and sometimes makes fun of you. 94. You can truly say that a guy has good intentions if you see him praying sometimes. (So girls you gotta give good guys a chance too, they are generally shy about girls)
95. Guys seek for advice not from a guy but from a girl.
96. Girls are allowed to touch boys' things. Not their hair!
97. If a guy says you're beautiful, that guy likes you.
98. Guys hate girls who overreact. (So don't be too demanding or complaining)
99. Guys love you more than you love them if they are serious in your relationships.

Penang Trip

Went to Penang last wednesday, but reached there at about 1AM, so not much to do, went to the hotel straight right after some wicked Chee Cheung Fan and Rojak. Pretty Far as we need to travel about 4-5 hours and the toll costs about 50 bucks.
The next morning we checked out about 10AM and head for Lim's Chicken Rice, went up to Kek Lok Si before headed to somewhere near Sg Petani (taking the ever Popular Penang Ferry - where the photo is taken)for Super Cheap Asam Laksa. It costs only RM1.50!!! Damn! u can't even get a roti telur in KL sometimes. I don't mind paying RM4 for it also as there were like tons of fish but as usual Adam had to complain that it taste like Tissue, which I can't figure out as I don't eat Tissues... Duh...
IMG_0595After that we chilled at Ryan's Place before headed towards this ikan bakar place for some REALLY GOOD Food , somewhere in Bidong/Sg Lalang, damn! keep forgeting all the name of the places... don't think i can remember if we were to go there again.
On out way back, we stopped at one the R&R place and was fooling around in the children's playground. I haven't seen them so happy before. Well i guess it's true when they say there's a kid in everyone of us.
All in all, nice trip, nice food, and most importantly, Great company...

New Finding by Malaysian Scientists

This is real good... courtesy of Faerie:

After digging to a depth of 100 meters last year, Russian scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 1000 years, and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network one thousand years ago.

So, not to be outdone, in the weeks that followed, American scientists dug 200 metres and headlines in the US papers read: "US scientists have found traces of 2000 year old optical fibres, and have concluded that their ancestors already had advanced high-tech digital telephone 1000 years earlier than the Russians."

One week later, the Malaysian newspapers reported the following: "After digging as deep as 500 metres, Malaysian scientists have found absolutely nothing. They have concluded that 5000 years ago, their ancestors were already using wireless technology.

Black Party 9.9 @ Zouk

Went to the Black party after having dinner with my family last night. Called Adam but the fella "fong fei gei" on me. So I went to meet a colleague there. Yea yea I know I said gonna ban myself from clubbing this month (cos overspent last month and cannot afford to pay my Credit card bills... :þ ) Just wanted to check out the place since I got the invite for free and they give you 2 drinks as well, I've got 2 invites so there's actually 4 drinks! but since Adam didn't want to come so there goes the free drinks....We were given 2 of those coupons each...see the pic at the bottom? Adam! I purposely saved one for you !!!

Once we enter the place (at about 9.45PM) it was already quite packed, with some dancers on a few corners. We went straight to the bar to redeem our drinks... only Guiness (well kinda expected already rite...) it's just not my type of drink...like malta plus heineken...which just don't cut it... so I just took like a few sips and didn't really finish the whole bottle.

The place was quite happening... with loads of chicks and some shows on. There was two well build eurasian guys doin' some gymnastics stuff (sorry Ryan! never bring Camera...hahaha) after that there was this show with 2 of those giant Hose-wrap-alluminium-foil -i don't know what it's called - thingys . anyway, they were like moving up and down each other which just looks funny and a bit gross....then there were a few dancers on each corner constantly...sexy but not the type that you can bring out during the day...

The sound system is not bad, at least better than the last few ones I went like Espanda or Rum Jungle. Didn't feel like drinkin' the second bottle since we left quite early I think about 11PM since I'm working the next day as well (god I think that's the earliest I ever went home after a clubbin' session) So, technically that doesn't count as a clubbin' session hahahaha...

Wanted to give the remaining coupon to some chick when I left, but just couldn't find the right one... so now you can see the picture I took when I got home...

In a nutshell, not bad for a free night out... well not exactly there's the RM5 parking...

I think it's time I got myself a camera-phone so that I can update my blog with more pics....

How to marry more than 1 in Malaysia

Got this on some site.. interesting... hehehe

We all know that polygamy is not allowed in Malaysia except for Muslim. Polygamy according to www.dictionary.com <http://www.dictionary.com> mean "The condition or practice of having more than one spouse at one time." So that mean, a man cannot have two wives or a woman cannot have two husband. But, what if a person who has two spouse with different gender? Let''s look at the example below :-

Joanne is a bisexual. Although she is married to John but at the same time she is deeply in love with Jane too. John is extremely open minded and understanding, he does not complain about Joanne's extra marrital relationship with Jane. One day, Joanne and Jane decided to get marry, in some hippies land as a lesbian couple. John does not complain at all.

When Joanne and Jane return to Malaysia, Joanne is charged in Court for practising polygamy.
"Joanne, how many husband do you have?" asked the public prosecutor
"one only wor."
"then what is Jane to you."
"my wife lar"
The public prosecutor has to drop his case because homosexual marriage is not recognisable in Malaysia. Hence, Joanne does not commit any polygamy.

A visit to Uncle Lim's

Adam called and said that he had free rooms at Genting. But we were only going up about 9.30PM.

So, after everyone met up at Adam's place and some "accurate" directions from our Pahang Girl (yes, I'm refering to you Ja-koo-leen) we reach gotong Jaya for some food at one of "tong sui" shops.

By the time we reach the top, it was already about 12! but suprisingly there were still quite a lot of ppl walking about. We went straight to the 1st world after that (after Adam said the rooms were at 1st World), after seraching around at the 14th floor we couldn't find our room number! Then we went down and ask one of the people where our room was. Then only Adam found out that we were at the wrong hotel! The Cards showing very clearly "Resort Hotel".

After arriving at the resort hotel, we were quite surprised that the room was quite big and it has a view! (cos everytime I also go to 1st world the rooms are like freakin' small and the only view is the wall! maybe cos we pay for the cheapest ones...)

A visit to Uncle Lim's lair, and 100 bucks flew away. Well, at least he does a lot of charity work... hahaha...

After a lot of picture taking... I got like about 80 over pics in my camera and I think Pris took quite a few as well... (Pris, let me know how I can get those photos from you?)

Please find the pics at photos.yahoo.com/lee_.rm

Let me know if you can't access the photos, (not too sure why there was some problems on it) i'll sent you the invites...

Oh yeah.. did i mentioned Ryan was drunk!?!? what did you all do to him lar?

After a short nap, some of us had to get back to KL, cos we had to work! not like those lucky ppl... :'(

That day at work I was practically half dead... suprisingly was able to last the whole day (without much fishing...)

But went home that day and slept at about 9PM... still not enough sleep..came to work like zombie today....

What Happen to Gabriel...

On a flight to Chicago, Gabriel had made several attempts to get into the men's rest-room, but it had always been occupied. The flight attendant noticed his predicament.

Sir, she said, "You may use the ladies room if you promise not to touch any of the buttons on the wall."

He did what he needed to, and as he sat there he noticed the buttons he had promised not to touch!

Each button was identified by letters WW, WA, PP, and a red one labelled ATR.

Who would know if he touched them? He couldn't resist.

He pushed WW. Warm water was sprayed gently upon his bottom.

What a nice feeling, he thought.

Men's rest-rooms don't have nice things like this.

Anticipating greater pleasure, he pushed the WA button.

Warm air replaced the warm water, gently drying  his underside.

When this stopped, he pushed the PP button.

A large! Powder Puff caressed his bottom adding a fragile scent of spring flowers to this unbelievable pleasure.

The ladies rest-room was more than just a rest-room, it is a tender and loving pleasure.

When the powder puff completed its pleasure, he couldn't wait to push the ATR button which he knew would be supreme ecstasy.

The Next thing he knew he was in a hospital, as soon as he opened his eyes. A nurse was staring down at him with a smirk on her face.

"What happened?" he exclaimed.

"You pushed one too many buttons,"replied the nurse. "The last button marked ATR was an Automatic Tampon Remover.

Your dick is under your pillow."

The beach, the sand and the Wild Boar

Me and the gang decided to make a trip to Kuantan today. Leaving at about 11.30PM we arrived in beautiful Kuantan (which is my home town, but have not been there for years…) after a 2 & a half hour trip with lots of stops.

We went straight to the Teluk Cempedak beach as soon as we arrived. After some walking by the beach we found a spot to hang out. So the liquors were out with some cokes and pepsi’s. No one actually drank much, can’t even finish half a bottle of JD’s that night and there goes the crowd....(see left pic)

Oh yeah, there was also a wild boar (which some of us thought it was a dog at first) wondering around the beach the whole night searching for food, but the fella was just running too fast while we were surrounding it for a picture and the low light conditions don’t help as well.

Hanging out the whole night at the beach some best friends and with a drink in your hand beats any night out clubbing. I haven’t had such a good time for quite a long time.

Although it was quite cloudy that day, but we still manage to see the beautiful sunrise on the beach (check out the sunrise at the back!).

Guys…. When will be the next trip? Kuala Selangor next weekend? Please go to http://photos.yahoo.com/lee_.rm for the rest of the photos I took.

I have made some touch up on the photos. Hope it looks better now. can't increase the gamma too much, cos it'll affect the quality of the photo....

Saturday 9 July

While walking in 1 Utama with a friend, she suddenly suggested to get one of those temporary tattoos, feeling stressed out lately I said: “OK, come on I’ll have one also” so we went to one of the small tattoo shops at the corner. So we each selected a picture, she selected one of the heart shaped ones, and me? A shark! Hehe. Hers was RM20 and mine was RM35 (nothing comes cheap nowadays huh!) She was the 1st to have the tattoo on so we were deciding where to put it… I suggested to put on her arm, but she still couldn’t decide. So the “tattoo artist” suggested to have it on her chest, just below the collar bone. Knowing that she’s quite sensitive about “that” area I said to her again to put it on her arm. But she went ahead with having it on the chest. Then, while the person was drawing the picture on her chest she kept looking at me signaling that she’s not comfortable with having a guy resting his hands on her chest. I was like thinking, you should have thought have that before right? (She kept pestering about it after that saying it was my fault some more)

Now came the interesting part, a girl came in asking if she could have her ear pierced, but hesitated and said she will come back later. Then something came through my mind “I always wanted to have my ear pierced since years ago.” So I asked my friend about the idea, then she said “ you sure? After my mom won’t let you in the house (since I said I’d go her place to fix her PC). If you do it you’ll have to pay for my tattoo!”. I hesitated for a while there but went on with it anyway… don’t want to think much about it. (also because it was only RM6! Still better than a RM35 tattoo that’ll come of after 2 weeks!) So the girl at the shop sprayed something on my ear I used the piercing gun and… “ketuck!” quite painful, but just for a short while… hey! looks cool. She told me that I can’t take it off for at least 2-3 days. Then came the shocking reality… how am I suppose to go to work?! Although my mom will be quite shocked as well, but shouldn’t be a big problem. But what the heck, I was thinking “fire me if they want to” …

After having dinner at the Beef noodle shop in kl. We head towards KLCC to buy the movie tickets. While queuing, Adam asked me if I have booked the correct date for fantastic four, since it won't be out until this coming Thursday. I was pretty sure that it was since ticket bookings usually allows only 2 days advance bookings and I assumed it was one of those sneak previews. Only to find out when buying the tickets were for 13 July which is 4 days later…how embarrassing. And to the guys… my apologies. I was expecting to watch Fantastic 4 as well. After that we watched long winded Batman begins instead. Not to bad if you are a batman fan I would say, but nothing much to shout about.

How to save on your Ebay Fees

Have you ever been delighted after a huge sale on Ebay. . .only to find out that your massive profit margin was whittled away by fee after fee after fee after fee?

Ebay charged you to list your item; they charged you to add pictures; they charged you to add upgrades; they charged you to use a template; they charged you to put your auction up at a certain time; and then, on top of everything else. . .they charged you AGAIN for closing the sale.

At this point, you would have been happy to walk away from your huge sale with the shirt on your back. But no. Paypal arrived on the scene to process your transaction for a small fee - your shirt.

. . .and there you sat at your computer, frustrated and shirtless. You were probably ready to just throw your hands up in dispair and quit selling on Ebay.

But you didn’t. You stuck with it. Maybe you haven’t had any success on Ebay since then, but what matters is that you stuck with it. And that is easily the most important part about selling on Ebay: sticking with it until you get that breakthrough.

And for that, I am going to reward you by showing you some simple tricks I have used to prevent the fee-mongers from extracting all of my profits. Hopefully this will help you to do the same and find your breakthrough.

The first method is using free hosting services for all of your auction pictures. If you sell a lot of small items on Ebay, this will save you a considerable amount of money in fees. If you only sell large items, this will allow you to cut back on unncessary fees on each auction.

I personally suggest using Geocities.com for this. All you have to do is upload the pictures you want in your auctions and then then reference them in the actual auctions.

The second fee-saving method I suggest is creating or purchasing a template for your auctions. I personally suggest learning HTML, which doesn’t take very long, and using it to create your own template.

In the long run, this will save you a lot of time and frustration, as you will be able to create the exact look and feel you want for your auctions.

However, if you don’t have the time to learn HTML, you can either purchase a template online for a dollar or less or you could have one professionally- created to fit your specifications at elance.com.

Not only will this save you additional auction fees on Ebay, but it will boost your credibility as a seller, potentially raising the amount of bids you receive--and subsequently increasing your profit-margin

The third and last method I will go over involves improving the mechanics of your auction, so you can pull just as many customers as a featured listing would, but without using one.

This is actually quite simple. All you have to do is carefully construct your title to accomplish the following two goals: 1) include as many targeted, high-traffic keywords as possible; and 2) form a coherent and compelling message that will entice these new streams of traffic to click through to your auction.

If you can achieve a better balance than what you have right now, you will notice an enormous boost in traffic. In fact, it can easily be the difference between 25 auction visitors and 250!

Some people make a full-time income buying from the auctions that get 25 visitors and then reselling with this tactic, which gets them 250.

By now, you know what you need to do to cut a serious chunk out of your Ebay seller’s fees. Put this to work in your auctions - and you could be seeing that breakthrough I talked about in a matter of weeks.

Bigger Breasts

A husband, tired of his wife asking him how she looks, buys her
a full length mirror. This does little to help, as now she
stands in front of the mirror, looking at herslef, asking him
how she looks.

One day fresh out of the shower, she was yet again in front of
the mirror, now complaining that her breasts our too small.
Uncharacteristically, the husband comes up with a suggestion,
"If you want your breasts to grow, then every day get a peice of
toilet paper and rub it between your breasts a few seconds."
Willing to try anything, the wife fetches a peice of toilet
paper, standing in front of the mirror and rubbing it between
her breasts. "How long will this take?" she asks. "Oh, they'll
grow larger over a period of years." he replied. The wife stops.
"Why do you think rubbing a peice of tiolet paper between my
breasts everyday will make my breasts grow over the years?" The
husband shrugs, "It worked for your ass didn't it?"

REASONS WHY ALCOHOL IS GOOD FOR THE HUMAN SPECIES......

"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink
I feel shamed. Then I look into the glass and think
about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes
and dreams If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out
of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say
to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their
dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

And saving the best for last, as explained by Cliff Clavin,
of Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the
Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm.
Here's how it went:

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo
can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when
the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones
at the back that are killed first This natural selection is
good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of
the whole group keeps improving by the
regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the
human brain can only operate as fast as the
slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we
know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and
weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer
eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more
efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few
beers."

WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may make you think you are
whispering when you are not.
