Christmas in Malacca

Decided to head down to Malacca this Christmas eve since I've been celebrating it every year in KL and there's nothing special about it. Got a friend who sms me and asked "satay celup & Xmas? Never heard of it..." Well now you have! haha. Reached there around 11PM and headed straight for the satay celup place in Jln Ong Kim Wee which was loaded with ppl. Just as we step down from the car, Adam can't stop complaining that why don't we go to this better place for satay celup, BUT he don't know how to go either... So after much complaint about the place (doesn't taste that bad), we headed to the new place (after some touring around the city....haha) with help from Adam's friend (Thomas) who just came back from KL. It was about 1am when we arrived at the place (you are correct! we counted down to Christmas in the car! at a traffic light with the DJ "dou sa" on 988), can't blame Adam too much for complaining earlier, as the satay celup this new place does taste better (especially the seafood variety!). I think the place is called Capital or something. Saw a 4x4 with cocroach stickers with a chinese word "ka cha!" (see top pic)which was real funny!

After the second round of satay celup, Thomas brought us to this place called the Friend's cafe, for some drinks and card game. Wasn't feeling that good (might be the caffeine in my cup of cappucino!) so asked Adam to drive back to KL. Reached home at about 6AM, but had to wake up at about 12PM for a Karaoke session at timesquare!... Got dumped and went home for dinner then to bed straight at about 8PM. Woke up only this morning about 6AM to crawl to work....

Nat,

Hey thanks for the tip. I wonder if there are such places in the wee hours of the night...and if there is maybe someone can provide the directions for the best place?
